Perched in Tragaki on the eastern coast, the Lesante Blu Beach Resort is the second establishment of the Vithoulkas family’s Lesante group. Zante, the other Venetian Denomination of Origin of Zakynthos, gave its name to the collection. Run by Dionysis, who has been immersed in the hotel industry since childhood, this five-star hotel is exclusively for adults. While the Lesante Classic Luxury Hotel & Spa, located in Tsilivi — which was the first five-star hotel on the island — is dedicated to tribal holidays.

As soon as you enter the gate, you enter a bright white lobby, wide open to the Ionian Sea. Surrounding it, hugging the slope of the hill, stretch four two-storey buildings, where gray concrete and dry stone act as accomplices. The whole is surrounded by gardens, where flights of stairs run here, small canals cascading there. The highlight below: a huge infinity pool in the shape of an “L”, with grassy surroundings punctuated by comfortable daybeds. A small paved path and a few steps lead down to the small private beach, where jet skis, canoes and paddleboard enthusiasts await. A private pontoon with a ladder prevents delicate feet, when swimming, from treading on the sand punctuated with small pebbles.

Only suites with sea view. 92 suites are divided into six categories from 40 to 160 m2 . Lit by large bay windows, dressed in white walls and light wood furniture, which accentuate the ambient light, they offer either a balcony or a terrace with a private swimming pool.

Partially or totally open to the bedrooms, the marble bathrooms and light wood furniture have both a separate shower and a bathtub. Some offer an outdoor jacuzzi, others a round bathtub. Too bad the kettle, teas and Nespresso coffee maker kit are only reserved for higher categories.
